Graduate Consultant - MyServices


Firmstep are the leading provider of digital transformation technology to the public sector, enabling Councils to change time-consuming customer service processes to electronic self service. As a Graduate Consultant, specialising in MyServices, you are ultimately responsible for playing a key role in the design, build, installation, and testing of MyServices.


MyServices are out-of-the-box forms solutions that Firmstep provides to all its customers. They are built using ‘Forms’, just one of Firmstep’s products. They eliminate the need for Councils to build their own bespoke forms, which saves them time and money. By providing an element of configuration to these forms, Councils can edit them to meet their requirements.


  • Research and development
  • Working closely with customers to gather requirements for new initiatives in Local Government such as Animal Licencing
  • Consulting with Firmstep customers as to how they wish to work in new product areas
  • Designing and building workflow processes to achieve the process control required within the service
  • Testing and quality assurance
  • Managing the deployment of the beta MyService to customers who are due to test
  • Demonstrating MyServices to customers
  • Maintaining the systems once they are up and running, making changes when necessary to meet the requirements of the customer

What we are looking for

  • Degree - 2:1 or above in any discipline
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • A genuine interest in working with technology
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong customer engagement and team-working skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Self-motivation and research skills
