With 400,000 people commuting to the city every day and over 10 million tourists visiting each year, The City of London Corporation’s remit goes well beyond that of a normal Local Authority.
To deliver their complex range of customer services, City of London preferred a proven supplier with the flexibility to effectively digitise any internal or external processes.
Built specifically for the Public Sector, the Firmstep Platform will be used for recording and maintaining citizen and business interactions with the City of London. They will initially be implementing: a new contact management system, online self-service, a portal for businesses, and calendar integration.
“With the help of Firmstep we hope to dramatically improve our online service offer, as well as supporting our Contact Centre to work more effectively. We will be launching our new Resident and Visitor Portal in 2018 alongside a dedicated Business Portal which we hope will make the City an easier place for people to do business. Firmstep has so much functionality on offer, and we will be looking at opportunities to rationalise our application estate and retire some in house legacy systems. Firmstep is a key component of our IT Strategy going forward and I’m excited to get the implementation underway.”
